Fiberglass piping system is widely used in many industrial fields, such as petroleum, electricity, chemical industry, paper making, etc. The excellent performance keeps its market stably growing. Below are some main advantages of FRP piping systems.

1) Corrosion Free and no impact on water quality:

FRP pipes can resist the erosion of acid, alkali, salt, seawater, untreated sewage, corrosive soil, groundwater and many other chemical fluids. It has longer service lifespan compared with traditional pipes. In addition, the inner wall surface of FRP pipe is clean and smooth, and will not be contaminated by microorganisms such as carapace and fungi in the ocean or sewage, which effectively guarantee water quality.

2)Good resistance of heat and frost

Fiberglass pipes are ideal materials to be used in harsh environment. It keeps good toughness and high strength under the condition of -30 ℃ and can work for a long time at temperature between -50 ℃ and 80 ℃. If adding special resin,it can work at a temperature above 110 ℃.

3)Light weight, high strength, easy to transport and install

The Fiberglass pipes are much lighter than steel but with high strength. Its lengthwise tensile strength can reach 210MPa, similar to alloy steel. Therefore, FRP pipes are deigned to meet the requirements of various internal and external pressure according to user’s different requirements. The light weight makes it convenient for transportation and installation, as well as to increase the speed of installation.

4)Low maintenance cost

The superior performance mentioned above help to reduce the inspection and maintenance of anti-rust, anti-fouling, insulation, heat preservation, etc. There is no need for cathodic protection for buried pipes, which can save more than 70% of maintenance costs.
