UNICOMPOSITE’s FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) panel water tanks, also known as GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) or SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) water tanks, represent a modern solution for large-scale water storage. Manufactured using high-temperature, high-pressure molding of SMC sheets, these panels offer excellent strength, hygiene, and durability.
Unlike traditional concrete or welded steel tanks, our FRP modular tanks are assembled on-site using standard panels, typically measuring 1 × 1 m, 1 × 0.5 m, or 0.5 × 0.5 m. The panels are bolted together with non-toxic sealing materials. This modular design allows for easy transportation, rapid installation in restricted spaces, and flexible capacity expansion in the future.

1. Structural Support
Hot-dipped galvanized steel base frame (C-channel), internal tie rods, and external reinforcements.
2. Fasteners
High-grade bolts, nuts, and washers, with hot-dipped galvanized or stainless steel SS304/316 options.
3. Sealing
Non-toxic EPDM sealing tape or gasket specially designed for potable water.
4. Fittings
Inlet, outlet, overflow, and drain flanges.
5. Convenience
Internal and external ladders, a lockable manhole cover, an air vent, and a water level indicator with glass tube or magnetic options.
Installation Method
The modular nature allows for quick assembly. A typical process involves:
Laying out the concrete plinths prepared by the client.
Assembling the steel base frame on the concrete plinths.
Installing and securing the bottom FRP panels.
Erecting the side panels layer by layer, applying sealing tape, and securely bolting the panels together.
Installing the internal tie rods to provide structural integrity against water pressure.
Installing the roof panels and accessories, including the manhole cover, ladders, and air vents.
Connecting the inlet, outlet, overflow, and drain fittings, followed by a complete leak test.
